This introductory course focuses on electrification of existing residences, including discussion of building science and the value of efficiency improvements together with electrification. The course also introduces modern electric alternatives to “the big four” traditional gas uses (space heating, water heating, cooking, and clothes drying) and the principal Energy Code provisions applicable to each.
