Building on the introductory Public Sector Energy Financing 101 Training, this training for local government finance staff dives into how to strategically apply financing to accelerate energy projects. Participants will learn about current market drivers and available financing opportunities for Bay Area local governments. The training will also cover repayment mechanisms, procurement approaches, and stakeholder engagement strategies to support successful project implementation. Case studies from Bay Area and other local governments will illustrate how practical financing products like leasing, energy savings performance contracts, and efficiency as a service have been successfully deployed in practice.
